More Control, Community Reports, and a Clearer Alpha
View update
Release overview
This release gives hunters more control over their Radar, makes community activity more useful, expands shipment estimates, and sets clearer expectations for using Bourbon Beacon during Alpha.
More control over your Radar
- Bourbon, rye, American whiskey, and Scotch can now be shown or hidden separately across the website, map, searches, and daily email.
- Individual stores can be hidden throughout Bourbon Beacon without removing the rest of a saved city or county.
Community reports connected to your account
- Feedback, hunter tips, I Got One! reports, and Store Pick recommendations now stay connected to the account that submitted them.
- Account pages now summarize each member’s contributions in one place.
- Community usernames are now permanent after they are saved, helping hunters build one consistent public identity.
A faster I Got One! report
- Opening I Got One! from a bottle card now fills the bottle, OLCC code, exact store, account username or anonymous setting, pickup quantity, and current Oregon date.
- Hunters can confirm the report immediately or add an optional comment.
- Signing in preserves the bottle and store so the report does not need to be rebuilt.
- Pickup counts follow the current inventory cycle and expire after seven days, so older reports do not carry into later deliveries.
Estimated Shipment Day for more stores
- Every store with a recorded positive inventory movement can now receive an Estimated Shipment Day.
- Repeated weekday patterns produce a stronger estimate, while early estimates are clearly marked as provisional and improve as more history is recorded.
- First-time inventory appearances are excluded so they are not mistaken for store deliveries.
- Confirmed store schedules continue to take priority over estimates.
Privacy controls in one place
- A complete Privacy Center explains what information is used, how long it is kept, and the choices available to members.
- One dedicated request page supports data access, portable copies, corrections, verified account deletion, eligible opt-outs, appeals, and other privacy questions.
- Account setup now requires an affirmative agreement to the current Terms of Service and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy before onboarding continues.
- Optional inventory and product emails remain separate account choices.
Clearer Alpha expectations
- The Terms now state clearly that Alpha features may change, break, be delayed, be added, or be removed.
- The same Alpha limitations and expectations apply to free users, trial users, and paying members.
